The regional Cumann na mBun Scoil competitions will be held in Mayo Abbey this month. The Mayo Gaels GAA Club request that all visiting National Schools teams leave the club facilities (particularly the dressing rooms) in good condition.

Mayo Gaels also wish good luck to all club underage players participating in Mayo U14 and U15 Development Squad trials.

Mayo Gaels also extend congratulations to club players involved in St. Colman’s victory over St. Jarlath’s in the Connacht Colleges (Second Year) Championship Final.

U-16s remain unbeaten
Our U-16 team remainded unbeaten with another two wins. They beat Ardmoy 2-10 to 3-4 and Ballyhaunis 4-9 to 1-10. They break now until after the Junior Cert.

U-8s and U-10s blitz

U8’s three club blitz (between Mayo Gaels, Claremorris & Davitts) is scheduled for 11.00pm next Saturday, 16th May in Claremorris.

The U10’s three club blitz (between Mayo Gaels, Claremorris & Davitts) is scheduled for 11.00pm next Saturday week, 23rd May in Mayo Abbey.

Our Minor team suffered two defeats. They lost to Tourmakeady 1-14 to 0-13 and to local rivals Balla 4-15 to 2-8.

Our U-14s got back on track with two big wins. They beat Achill 5-18 to 0-3 and Bonniconlon 12-6 to 3-5.

Our U-12s got their season underway with a defeat away to Kilmaine on a score line of 2-17 to 2-7.
