U13 Football vs Whitehall Colmcille
The U13 footballers had a convincing 15-8 to 3-8 victory over Whitehall Colmcille after a long lay off on Saturday. Whitehall started brightly backed by a strong wind but Olafs quickly took control and dominated proceedings for the whole match with their superior passing and movement Christy Conors was outstanding bagging nine goals.

U16 Football vs Scoil Ui Chonaill  2-9 to 0-5
Despite a tough season so far and the oncoming Junior Cert exams we fielded 17 players. Having been beaten in the Championship and the Shield some positional changes were called for. Michael O Connor was given a more sweeping role with Anthony O Hara pushed up to the half forward line. Scoil came in to the game second from top of the division.

Despite going a point down, Olafs got off to a great start with two points from Captain Robert Doyle. Points were added by Conor Murphy, Keith Begley and Michael O Connor. All credit must be given to the full back line of Stuart Kyne-Delaney, Graham Elliott and the outstanding Conor Murray. Following sustained pressure Scoil did well to save a penalty from Sean Sullivan. Half time left Olafs in charge by three points.

With the wind in their face and Scoil at the helm, as the appointed referee did not show, Scoil started the second half with two early points. But leave it to Captain Robert Doyle to settle the nerves with a perfectly executed goal.  The game seemed at that point to turn in favour of the home side with Anthony O Hara finding the back of the net thanks to a terrific pass from Michael O’Connor. Three further points from Craig Arnold, Seán Sullivan and Robert Doyle put the game beyond reach.
