Greenfields Hockey club are delighted to announce the fantastic news that Brenda Flannery is free from injury and has been called into the Irish SENIOR Women’s hockey squad!
She lines out to play against Australia, in a warm up match to the Electric Ireland FIH Champions Challenge 1, in UCD on Sunday September 23rd.
Only this week, she has been shortlisted for ‘Senior Club Player of the Year’, for the Irish Hockey Awards, to be held next month in Dublin.
Brenda who hails from Salthill, started her hockey career with Greenfields Hockey Club.
She has represented Ireland at underage level, most recently captaining the Irish U21 squad to European success.
Brenda who is currently studying in UCD is a central member of their club team.
