Juniors Open With a Win.

We had our opening game in Division 2 of the East Cork Hurling League last Wednesday night when we were at home to Youghal. After a slow start we got on top to lead by 1 6 to 1 4, our goal coming from Alan O Keeffe. The Seasiders started the second half in a blistering fashion and scored 2 4 without reply to put them 3 8 to 1 6 ahead. We made a few tactical substitutions and though reduced to 14 men after a second yellow card we really came into the match. Pat Walsh and Richie Cahill scored 1 3 between them and in total we added 1 10 to our half time tally to win by 2 16 to 3 11.

JUNIOR HURLING LEAGUE DIVISION 3.

We were fixed to play Lisgoold in our first game of the JHL Division Three campaign on last Friday night April 29th. The team travelled to Lisgoold but Lisgoold had no team to play us as their own internal club communication system had not worked. We have a game v Killeagh on next Sunday morning in Killeagh at 11.30am.

Senior Hurling.

Preparations for the Senior Hurling championship v Na Piarsaigh are continuing. We have a few injury problems and are at present which has meant we are unable to play too many SHL games. The game v Na Piarsaigh is just four weeks from next Friday night.
