First Meeting Of 2010.
The first Club Executive meeting of the year was held on Monday night last, having been postponed from the previous week because of the bad weather. It was the first meeting in the Chair for Mike Carey. Much of the business of the meeting was spent discussing Fundraising and the Finances of the Club in general. Plans for a major fundraising event were discussed -more about this next week. A new selection Committee for the Junior A Football team for the coming season was picked Terry Broderick, Vincent Cronin and Pat Walsh. No Selection Committee for the Junior Hurling Team has yet been appointed.
2009 Junior B Football Final.
The Junior B Football Championship Final for last year v Russell Rovers will be played on either the weekend of Feb 20/21st or February 27/28th. With the first meeting of the East Cork Board being held last night, Wednesday we will probably have a definite Fixture shortly.
County Board.
January 26th. We will get an indication at this meeting when the 2010 Senior Hurling League will get underway.
Scór.
The East Cork Final of Scór Sinnsear takes place in Lisgoold Community Centre on this coming Sunday night. Unfortunately interest in Scór at this level has waned somewhat. At the time of writing we are not sure if the Bride Rovers Club will have any entry. Contact John Arnold or Ger Lane for details.
