Bride Rovers GAA Club notes & news round-up for the week.

November 8, 2018

Great Meeting at annual A.G.M.
There was a great attendance at the Club AGM in Arus de Barra on last Monday night, December 5th. Outgoing Cathaoirleach James Bermingham welcomed all present. The first item on the Clar was the Minutes of the 2010 AGM. These were read, proposed and seconded. Next up was the Runais Report for 2011. This was superbly presented in a Booklet form, which ran to 27 pages in total, dealing with every single aspect of the Clubs Activities, both on and off the Playing Field.
Chairman James Bermingham addressed the meeting. He said it was a good year for the Club with the Senior Hurlers reaching the County Quarter Final  again and being terribly disappointed to lose out to Cit. He praised the achievements of the Junior Hurling team in winning the Div ‘ JHL and playing very well in the JAHC. It was a difficult year for football with an early year saga involving four c.ship games in 5 weeks. The Club Development has progressed very well and we now have top class training facilities. Further Development work will proceed as Finance will allow.  James thanked all who had helped in any way with the bride Rovers Club during the year.
A discussion on the state of Football in the club took place with many views being expressed. It was agreed that a Committee of Vincent Cronin, Pat Walsh, James Bermingham, Tom Kearney, Terry Broderick  and Shane O Connor should look at the various options and report back to the Executive early in the new Year.
