Bride Rovers Ladies Club Notes.

November 8, 2018

Congratulations to Jennifer Barry who this week became one of 5 dual players in the county to make both the u16 camogie & football panels for 2010.A marvellous achievement for any player and no one deserves it more than Jennifer who puts her heart and soul into every game she plays be it for her club, school or county.Jennfier has been a member of the Cork football for the past three years, two years at u14 and last year u16. .Jennifer was part of the Cork Colleges camogie 2 years ago when they one the All-Ireland blitz. She is joined on the Cork u16 football panel by her club mate Jennifer Cahill and everyone in the club wishes them the best of luck for the coming year

On Sunday last the Cork Senior football team played Kerry in Cit in their second league game and won comprehensively on a score line 1gl 16 to 1gl 9 once again great to have our own club player Grace lining out with the panel.

Our u16 girls played their second league game on Sunday last against Aghada. We have  a very small panel which was made smaller on Sunday due to a few girls been sick .Our thanks to Aine Cashman who willingly togged out for us and to Jennifer Barry who left a Cork u16 camogie match at half time and came straight to Aghada  and had to go straight into centre field .All our players once more played their hearts the out and even though we lost on a score line of 6-9 to 3-8 the score line didn’t justify the game. We hit the cross bar on two occasions and once or twice more were unlucky that it was over the bar rather than under the bar the ball went. However credit to Aghada who had a few very strong girls and were deserving winners on the day.
