Bride Rovers 2-4              Valley Rovers 3-8

Our county semi-final against Valley Rovers ended in defeat last Friday night at Ballinhassig Camogie grounds. Unfortunately, we were slow to get off the scoring mark again and that cost us dearly this time around. We matched Valley Rovers for most of the game but couldn’t recover from the early concession of goals. Thanks to all the panel of players and their mentors for all their efforts throughout the season.

Panel : Madison Parle, Aine Cashman, Margaret Kearney, Lauren Friel, Trish O’Sullivan (0-1), Aoife O’Riordan, Karen Sheehan, Claire Murphy (0-2), Meg Kelliher, Laura Quirke (1-0), Emma Roche, Elaine Culloty (0-1),  Aoife Deasy, Grace Culloty (1-0), Niamh Murphy, Laura Pratt, Grainne Noonan, Maria O’Sullivan, Jessica Howard.

Minor Football

Sunday, September 23rd

Bride Rovers 0-7              Midleton 4-9

Midleton reversed earlier minor league form with our minors when they defeated us at Fermoy in the East Cork B final last Sunday. We enjoyed our fair share of possession during the game but were unable to convert it into scores and a few errors led to Midleton scores unfortunately. We did get the ball in the net at a crucial stage when a fight-back might have been possible but the goal was disallowed as a square-ball. Congratulations to Midleton on their victory and thanks to Fermoy for hosting the game. We now look forward to our county quarter final against Beara when we hope for a better result.
