Senior Ladies Football

Our senior team suffered their first league defeat away to Clonakilty on Monday April 9th at 3pm. Let’s hope for better fortune in our next fixture.

Our Junior camogie match on Friday, April 13th has been postponed because of lack of numbers.

Junior Ladies Football

Upcoming Junior league fixtures :

Sunday, April 15th away to St Colums.

Sunday, April 22nd away to Ilen Rovers.

U12 Ladies Football

Our U12s enjoyed a comfortable win in their East Cork U12 league game vs Lisgoold on Saturday, April 7th at 12 noon at Rovers main pitch. This was their first competitive game of the season and the result was very encouraging. This panel of players are showing great commitment to the management team and look set for a successful season.

U16 Ladies Football

Tuesday, April 3rd, Rathcormac

Our U16s put the disappointment of defeats in their opening two league games behind them when they had a convincing, high-scoring win over an admittedly depleted Glanmire side. This game will undoubtedly be a confidence boost to the u16 panel as they look forward to the upcoming tie against Inch Rovers. Our scoring rate was high and our backs proved especially mean on the night, conceding very few scores indeed.

U14 Camogie

Our U14s battled hard against Cobh on Wednesday, April 4th but unfortunately lost out by a couple of goals to the home side. It was not a bad performance given that it was their first outing of the year and conditions were not great, with a very strong, bitterly cold wind blowing straight across the field.

U16 Camogie

Youghal 2-6         Bride Rovers 2-0

Our U16 camogie team travelled to Youghal on Easter Monday, April 10th for their first league game of 2012 but unfortunately suffered defeat. This was nevertheless a very encouraging display and our girls showed great determination throughout and improved as the game went on, so much so that we were rewarded with two good second half goals and could have had a few more scores also. Thanks to everyone who turned out on another cold evening.
