U12 Football
We travelled to Aghada on Friday night last, in bright sunshine for a change, for our U12 football league match. We started sluggishly and allowed Aghada to get the upper hand early on. Gradually we came into the game and goals from Katie and Ciara had us right back into the game before half time. We began to play as a team just as the referee blew the half time whistle. At half time the girls were asked to give more for the second half and they certainly did that. From the start we attacked Aghada and only some good defending kept Aghada in the game. We had injuries to Katie and Rachael during this half and we played brilliantly right up to the final whistle when we found ourselves a mere one point adrift for only our second loss of the campaign. The final score was Bride Rovers 4-03, Aghada 4-04. These girls will learn from this heartbreaking defeat. We had a number of girls in tears after the game as they had put in a huge effort but came up a little short through no fault of their own. Our panel on the night was Ella Quinlan, Chloe Murphy, Rachael O Flynn, Shauna O Connell, Sorcha Tobin, Caoimhe O Sullivan, Fiona Barry, Caoimhe Hazelwood, Sarah Murphy, Aoife Cowman, Anna Murray, Katie Quirke, Rebecca Hill, Lucy Hicks, Ciara O Flynn, Rebecca Howe. Well done girls.

Our combined seniors and juniors played another practice match against Douglas last week in Pynes, continuing their busy schedule.
Cork U14 Ladies Football
Best of luck to Bride Rovers players Grace Culloty and Emma Barry on part of the Cork U14 panel who take on Connacht champions Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final on Saturday, June 8 at 2pm in Mungret, Limerick . Best of luck to everyone involved.
U12 Camogie
U12 camogie blitz in Dungourney.
We travelled to this camogie cluster blitz with 11 players on Sunday, May 26 . It was a lovely morning for camogie and we played 3 matches against Dungourney, Sarsfields and St Catherines. This panel has very little training done so far this year as they have been very busy with football matches but you would not have thought it last Sunday such was the standard of camogie they produced. Many people present commented on the standard of the ground hurling played by the girls on the day. This blitz was played under the go-games format where the players cannot kick the ball or solo with it and no player can play in the same line of the team in the second half of the game, so the girls got to play as backs, midfielders and forwards. An unfortunate knee injury to Caoimhe O Sullivan meant she had to play most of the blitz in goal but what a goalkeeper she turned out to be! She must be taking after her father in that position. The girls won their three matches and when you consider that Sarsfields and St Catherines play only camogie, it was a great result for the girls. The panel present on the day was;
