Cork U14 Ladies Football

Congratulations to Bride Rovers players Grace Culloty and Emma Barry who were part of the Cork U14 panel who travelled to Mullingar on Saturday, May 18 and returned with the All-Ireland Division 1 blitz trophy. The girls are now preparing for the replay of the Munster final against Kerry on Sunday, May 26 which will be a tough game but one that everyone is looking forward. Best of luck to everyone involved.

U16 Football

Sunday, May 19th .

Bride Rovers 3-5 Carrigaline 1-7

Panel : Madison Parle, Emma Hazelwood, Niamh Murphy, Maria O’Sullivan, Margaret Kearney, Aine Cashman, Laura Quirke (1-1), Jessica Howard, Elaine Culloty (0-1), Aoife Deasy (1-3), Michelle Lane, Shauna O’Connell, , Alice O’Keeffe, Grace Culloty (1-0).

Despite trailing badly at half-time by 1-7 to 0-1, a strong second half performance during which we kept Carrigaline scoreless eventually gave us a 4 point victory in this U16 challenge game. This was thanks in no small part to Madison Parle and the full-back line of Niamh Murphy, Emma Hazelwood and Maria O’Sullivan who repelled many Carrigaline attacks throughout. Thanks to Carrigaline for travelling up to Rathcormac and for a very sporting game.

U10 Football

Wednesday, May 15th , Lisgoold

Bride Rovers 4-6 Lisgould 3-1

We played Lisgoold last week and came away with a convincing win. Caoimhe scored 0-2, Ciara and Shauna scored a goal each throughout the first half. Megan and Alice shared the goalie jersey and both brought off a number of saves. Lisgoold scored 3-0 during the first half.

In the second half Jessie and Lauren proved too strong in defence as Lisgoold were held to 1 score, a point. Abby and Niamh made some great passes out of the back line which resulted in Ciara scoring 0-3. Kate, Michelle and Molly played in the forwards and all played well. We attacked throughout the second half with Megan scoring 1-0 and Shauna 1-1. Well done girls, keep it up
