In what proved to be a very busy few days for the Club it was a story of mixed fortunes for some of our teams. Although our Feile team did not progress to the knockout stages they had an unforgettable weekend making new friends and being among the privileged few who get to take part in a Feile parade. The rain poured nearly all weekend but it failed to dampen the spirits of the younsters.
The minor team had a great win in the A Championship when they beat Tommie Larkins by 2-25 to 1-7 on Sunday evening. This was folllowed on Monday evening with a win by the Senior team in the League against All Ireland Club Champions, Clarenbridge on a scoreline of 0-18 to 2-9.
Congratulations to the Davitts Feile camogie team who beat Killimor in the county final on Sunday, June 19th and also gave a very good account of themselves in the Feile Group Games, just losing to eventual finalists St Martin’s by one point
