Busy weekend in Castle Ellis

November 7, 2018

Summer time but a pup as Castle Ellis faced her first big test last weekend.  From 9am on Sunday morning they came, with no fewer than 4 seperate team training sessions mixed in with an intermediate camogie match. All in the space of 3 hours. The vast expanse heaved with endeavour. Drenched in morning sun with a spring breeze she passed the test at her ease. Joe O'Neill and his team have delivered a flawless surface. Meanwhile in the bowels of the clubhouse the hum of Cathal's jennie reminds all of the relentless voluntary effort. Every now and then the man himself peering up for "air" and out at the spectacle. Brian and Leonard arrive in John Deere's finest to squeeze in a bit of fencing before lunch.

Monday evening she welcomed the juvenile colts and fillies with the U10 coaching getting off to a great sunny start for the year……ah so this is what its all about. Many hands, much effort, one common goal. Bring em on she says…. great times ahead!
