Championship Update and GOOD LUCK to our Galway players and management

November 8, 2018

Although there has been a break over the Summer months, many of the teams have continued their progress in the Galway championship.

The minors resume this coming Saturday with a prelim quarter final versus Beagh – the game is fixed for Loughrea with a 4.30pm throw-in time.

The senior championship will resume on the weekend of September 16th with the eagerly awaited clash of Kiltormer and near neighbours (and last years semi-finalists) Mullagh.  Interestingly, the Junior C team will also play Mullagh in the semi-final of the championship in the coming weeks.

The Junior A team crashed out of the championship at the quarter final stage, losing after a replay to Sylane – the loss of Jason Kilkenny due to injury from the first game proving to be decisive.

Kiltormer U-21 team will play Gort in the quarter final – this game has been held up for many months due to the extended run of the Galway U-21 team in reaching the All-Ireland Final.
While talking about this subject, on behalf of the club we would like to wish the very best of good luck to players Keith Kilkenny, Brendan Kenny, and Paddy Cormican and to selector Sean McKeigue who are involved in the All-Ireland U-21 final versus Dublin this weekend.
