SENIORS – CHAMPIONSHIP

The seniors have made it thru to the County Final for the second time in 3 years after seeing of Castlerahan in Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday evening.  Scores from Barry Reilly (0-6), Ryan McCormack (0-1), Philly Smith (0-3), Joe Mac Mahon (1-1), Colm Smith (0-1), Barry Tully (0-3) and Sean Og Gargan (0-1) left the Dun a Ri men finishing the game 1-16 to Castlerahans 1-6. 

 

They now face Mullahoran in the Hotel Kilmore Senior Championship Final on Sunday October 7th in Kingspan Breffni Park.  Time to be confirmed.

The Juniors take on Mullahoran in the Championship Semi Final this Saturday September 22nd at 4.30pm in Stradone. Please support.

Kingscourt Stars v Cuchulainns  – Saturday 29th in O’Raghallaigh Park, Kingscourt.  Seniors at 4.30pm and Juniors at 6.00pm. Please support.

 

MINORS

O’Raghallaigh Gaels replay against Lavey-Castlerahan will take place this Friday September 21st at 8pm in Mullagh. Your support for this game will be much appreciated.

KINGSCOURT STARS JUVENILE CLUB MEMBERS DRAW

The Juvenile Draw took place on Monday 17th September, The results were:

1st Prize: Two All Ireland Football Final Tickets, B&B and Evening Meal over night accommodation and €100 spending money.  – Breda McDermott, Shercock.

2nd Prize: €150 – Paul Gormley Swords, 3rd Prize €100 – Ellen Farrelly, Muff.

4th Prize €50 – John Callaghan, Meath Hill. 5th Prize €50 – Sean McCabe, Muff.

6th Prize €50 – Michael Curtis, Bailieboro. 7th Prize €50 – Matthew Kennedy, Kingscourt.      8th Prize €50 – Geraldine Shekelton, Kingscourt.

EAST CAVAN GAELS HURLING – CLUB NOTES

 

Under 12;

The lads got the league underway with a good victory over Annalee Gaels in St. Anne’s Park on Wednesday last. Next up is a trip to Cootehill to face our old friends Cootehill Celtic. Throw in is at 6.30. Training Wednesday 6.30 in St. Anne’s Park, Bailieborough. New players welcome.

 

Under 8/10;

The lads had their final outing outdoors in Cavan when they attended the blitz in Breffni 3G on Sunday last. Thanks to Eoin Morrissey and Francis Clarke for organising this and all the 3G blitzes over the summer. We have a couple more games to organise before the summer outdoor season finally ends. Training Wednesday 6.30 in St. Anne’s Park.

 

Indoor hurling;

Indoor hurling should resume on the first Friday in October in the Community School Sports Hall, Bailieborough. Under 7 from 6-7 and under 9 from 7-8. More details closer to the time. New members very welcome.

 

Schools Hurling Coaching;

Eoin Morrissey, Cavan Hurling Development Administrator, has begun a six week schools coaching plan in both Shercock N.S. and Ballinamoney N.S. on Tuesdays This, we hope, will lead more new hulers to the door of ECG Hurling Club.
