Our U21's were beaten by Ilen Rovers in The West Cork Final on Sunday, 2-11 to 0-11 in an exciting final
Ilen went into a 2 point lead before Stephen O Donoghue opened Rangers account. 2 further points from Ilen saw them lead by 0-4 to 0-01 after 15 mins. A Mark Hodnett point and a further Ilen point saw the scoreline read 0-05 to 0-02 . Rangers then hit a purple patch and finished the half strongly with Mark Hodnett adding 2 further points. Half time score saw Ilen lead by a point
Rangers started the second half strongly and four well taken end points from Patrick Hurley, Daragh Hayes, Paul Hodnett and Cathal O Rourke saw Ross take the lead 0-08 to 0-05. The response from Rovers was 2 goals in a 60 second spell and a further pt before Cathal O Rourke got another Rangers point. But it wasn't too be, Rangers fought well to the end and lost out 2-11 to 0-11
Gettting to the final was a great achievement by the lads, which saw 7 minors start and 9 playing at the final whistle.They are now through to the County Series where they play Carrigaline.

In Underage Football, Both the Under 10 and Under 14 footballers travelled to Dunmanway last Thursday to play The Dohenys .
