Killala pipped at the post
Killala AFC can hold there heads up high as they were narrowly defeated by Kings Court Harps from Cavan to the title of FAI Club of the year which was presented at the FAI agm in Waterford last weekend. 8 Clubs in all who had previously won the Title of club of the month competed for the coveted title of club of the year but there could only be one winner. The judges confirmed that the standard this year was the highest yet and that Killala had done extremely well to win Club of the Month for April, beating 37 clubs to do so. The Club wishes to thank everyone who contributed to the Club of the Year effort and hopefully we will have better luck next year.
As part of our bid this year we made a short film entitled ” Killala AFC at the Heart of the Community” we are hoping to have a local screening of this film at a later date so watch this space.
