Mens team back in training

The mens junior team are back training  officially this Sunday 7th Feb. at 11am at Courthouse St. Any one wanting to play with the team for the 2010 season are asked to attend.

Calling all Volunteers

With the 2010 season looming Killala FC are looking for volunteers to help with the everyday running of the club. It could be helping to maintain the facilities, help with a team, sweeping the dressing rooms, opening the gates or one of numerous jobs that may only take an hour of your time every week. Record Turnout for AGM

One of the largest number of members in recent times turned out for the AGM of Killala FC at the clubrooms on Saturday last. A highly succesful 2009 was reviewed  culminating in the club receiving the ” Club of the Year Award” the previous night at the Mayo AFL Dinner in Castlebar. Anthony Gallagher was elected the new Chairman to guide the club into the new decade , Tony Browne Vice Chaiman, Peter McDonnell Secretary, Marc McDonnell Ass. secretary/youth registrar, Aidan Sweeney tresurer, Ivan sweeney PRO ,Jarlath Munnelly Child Protection Officer and Eamon Knox Junior registrar. Lacken Cross Girls into All Ireland Final

Congratulations to Lacken Cross  Girls U18 team on reaching the Final of the FAIS Umbro  Girls U18 Cup . They defeated St. Marys School Newport Co.Tipperary by 20-0 in Terryland Park , Galway last Friday. Aileen Gilroy scored 6 Aoileen Collins 5, El;aine Lowther 4, Sorcha McGee 1, Martina Walker 1, Rachel Healy 2, Sharon Killeen 1. They now face St.Killians of Dublin in the final.Venue and Date TBC.

U12 boys out of Connaught Shield

The U12 boys travelled with an understrengh team to Colemenstown in Galway last Saturday and their long period of inactivity showed when they were beaten 4-1 by the local side. …….read more
