Over the past number of years, the archive has been trawled and some classic matches have been uncovered and clips of them put up on Stars TV on the club website. Classics such as 1985 U-12 Final to 1990 Senior Final and of course the 1987 Ulster Semi Final with the Roy of The Rovers finish….
After much research the library of matches has now been extended to feature over 70 club occasions from over the last 30 years. From memorable victories in finals to heartbreaking defeats, they all feature. Seniors to U-12, pitch openings, heck there are even some AGM’s!!!
The full list of matches are listed on www.kingscourtstars.ie under Stars TV and DVD’s can be ordered for just €10. If you are interested just send the club an e-mail at info@kingscourtstars.ie or ring Tommy on 087 2226614.
EAST CAVAN GALES HURLING CLUB NOTES
There was a great response to the registration evening last Friday evening. Anyone who has not already registered can do so again this coming Friday from 7pm. Players must be registered with ECG Hurling Club to play in 2012, €10 for the year. Bailieborough Shamrocks CLG have invited ECG Hurling Club to use their facilities later in the year when the weather improves which will be an additional boost to hurling in the area and we are thankful to them for the invitation. ECG Hurling Club have already had the use of both Killinkere and Kingscourt Stars grounds in recent times which shows the goodwill towards hurling from the GAA community in the area. Any Shamrocks players wishing to play hurling please contact Padraig Farrelly, Shamrocks Juvenile Secretary, and he will point you in the right direction.
