AGM
The Annual General Meeting of Cumann Luthchleas Gael Dun A Ri took place on Sunday 4th December in the club pavilion. The usual large crowd was in attendance with many keenly debated issues raised on the day. In terms of the officers, the top table stayed the same with Pat Faulkner, Sean Kieran and Frank Boylan all re-appointed unopposed as Chairman, Secretary & Treasurer respectively.
In some changes the following people were elected; Colleen McCabe (PRO), Colm Kieran (Insurance Officer) Colm Smith (Games Development Officer), James Campbell (Club President) and Sean Farrelly (Vice-President).
Thanks to everyone who attended and we hope to see ye all bright and early in 2012 to assist the club as things kick of early next year.

The new club calendar is now available. At just €5 it’s an ideal stocking filler and features full pictures from each club team from 2011 as well as both jubilee teams (1961 Juniors & 1986/87 Seniors) and the picture of the five trophy winning captains from the year just gone. They will be available from Niall and from a few shops round the town also.
Do you have any exercise equipment that’s gathering dust or just being used as a clothes hanger! Any equipment that you don’t use anymore or as much as you used to? Would you like to find a better home for it ?

DINNER DANCE
After a bit of a break, the club held a Dinner Dance earlier this year to mark the success of the Senior Championship winning team of 2010. Such was the success of the night, and the various teams this year, we are back for more. The Club Dinner Dance will now take place in Cabra Castle Hotel on Friday 20th January.
A jam-packed night will see presentations to the Senior, Junior & Minor winning teams for 2011 as well as honouring the recent jubilee teams (1961 Juniors & 1986/87 Seniors) and I am sure plenty of other things on the night. Based on last year alone, a great night is guaranteed. Tickets will be available from all committee members shortly and are €35.
While the Dinner Dance will follow next month, to get the ball rolling the club are holding a Social Night this Friday night in Murtagh’s at 9.30pm. On the night there will a presentation of the Minor League medals and the Girls U-14 league medals. A great achievement by both teams. There is no cover charge on the night and with finger food and music on the night it promises to be an enjoyable evening so all club members are invited and asked to attend.
The winning numbers in the Lotto this week were 04, 06, 07 & 18 (Bonus 16). There was no jackpot winner and the five Match 3’s won €40 each. Next week’s jackpot will be €11,000 and the draw will take place in Freemans on Sunday 11th December.
