The O’Raghallaigh Gaels minors got their Ulster Club Championship campaign of to a winning start at the weekend with a 0-13 to 0-4 victory over Erne Gaels (Fermanagh) in the Quarter Finals on Saturday. Played in dreadful conditions the lads had to battle the elements as well as the opposition but ground out a well-deserved win by the final whistle.

They are now through to the Semi Final where they will play either Truagh Gaels (Monaghan), Watty Grahams (Derry) or St. Eunans (Donegal) on St. Stephen’s Day at 1.30pm up in St. Paul’s GAC in Belfast (Host Club). Thanks to the large crowd of supporters who made their way to the match. It’s likely a bus will be arranged again for the semi-final so watch this space.

The Annual General Meeting of Cumann Luthchleas Gael Dun A Ri will take place on Sunday 4th December in the pavilion at 3pm. Nomination forms for committee positions can be obtained from Pat Faulkner or by e-mailing . These should be returned ASAP. All members/players and anyone interested in getting involved with the club are asked to attend

Still looking to sort out some Christmas presents?? Is there a mad Kingscourt Stars supporter/player in the house?? Don’t forgot the club merchandise remains available but you will have to be quick to ensure you get your order in before Christmas. Some limited stock is held but most gear takes up to two weeks to order so bear that in mind if you are thinking of Christmas presents.

Also, the new club calendar will be available later this week. At just €5 it’s an ideal stocking filler and features full pictures from each club team from 2011 as well as both jubilee teams (1961 Juniors & 1986/87 Seniors) and the picture of the five trophy winning captains from the year just gone. They will be available from Niall and from a few shops round the town also.

Do you have any exercise equipment that’s gathering dust or just being used as a clothes hanger! Any equipment that you don’t use anymore or as much as you used to? Would you like to find a better home for it ?

The winning numbers in the Lotto this week were 12, 18, 19 & 21 (Bonus 14). There was no jackpot winner and the three Match 3’s (Pat Clarke, S&A McCabe and Sean Smith won €70 each. Next week’s jackpot will be €10,800 and the draw will take place in M&F’s on Sunday 4th December.
