SENIORS & JUNIORS
In a repeat of last year’s county final, the Seniors will face Cavan Gaels in the quarter finals of this year’s Senior Championship.  The game has yet to be confirmed but it will take place on 27/28 August and is sure to be a eagerly awaited match for both clubs and indeed, plenty of neutrals.  Based on recent form though, a huge improvement will be needed from our lads, but you just never know….

Also at Championship Quarter Final stage, the Juniors face a trip to Virginia on Wed 24th August when they face Ramor Utd for a place in the final four.

Ahead of both those games, both teams head to Ballyduff this Saturday evening for a double header against Castlerahan.  At the moment, the Juniors are due to kick off proceedings at 5pm with the Seniors to follow at 6.30pm but that may yet be reversed so watch this space.

UNDERAGE
The Minors opened the triple championship quarter final feast for the club when they faced St. Josephs at home on Tuesday 16th August @ 7.30pm. O’Raghallaigh Gaels (Kingscourt/Shercock) got off to a good starts in the Championship, eventually! A shaky first half saw us lead 1-4 to 0-4 at the break but a super second half performance saw the lads pull away with a final score (I think) of 1-20 to 0-10. They now face Eire Og Celtics on Tuesday 23rd August at 7.15pm in the Semi Final.

Commiserations to the 13s who bowed out of the Championship last week with a 4-7 to 3-2 semi-final defeat to Ramor Utd in Kingspan Breffni Park. No time to dwell on things though with most of the lads back in training with the 14s for their Championship which starts later this month against Killygarry.

Finally, the 8s hosted a super blitz on Saturday  down the Park.  With 10 teams competiting there was over 150 kids involved with teams from Kingscourt, Killany, Meath Hill, Shercock, Ramor Utd, Magheracloone, Castletown, Carrickmacross and Cootehill. A super day was had by all and great credit must go to James Brown and his team of helpers for organising the day and ensuring it ran off so smoothly.  For pictures from the day just click here. It is hoped to organise similar blitzes for both the 10s & 12s before the end of the season.

CLUB MERCHANDISE
The club is delighted to announce that a new batch of club merchandise are now directly from the club at little more than cost price.  The options include replica jerseys, polo shirts, jackets, training tops and hats.  Images of all the gear are already up on the home page and the option to buy online should be available in the next week or so.

Sizes will range from 5yrs +  with prices varying depending on size but as said they will practically be sold at cost price.  You can get a look at the range of products on the website, at Senior home matches or Sunday juvenile training and each team will be given a colour sheet showing all the gear.  Alternatively you can ring Niall on 086 8237382.
