SENIORS & JUNIORS

The Seniors & Juniors both made it two in a row with home victories at the weekend over Drumlane.  The Seniors were first up and gained a 1-16 to 1-5 success and the Juniors followed that up as they hit 2-13 for the second week running in a 2-13 to 1-9 win.  Can’t give you anymore than that I’m afraid as I didn’t make the games, well you can’t be everywhere….. A free week coming up so neither side in action until the 17th when they both face a tricky trip to Gowna.

MINORS

The Minors made it four wins on the bounce when they visited Ballyhaise on Saturday and gained a well-deserved 0-14 to 1-7 victory. With the lads going very well at the moment, it would be well worth taking in their next match which is at home to Castlerahan on Sunday 11th at 4.30 p.m.

UNDERAGE

The 16s (in amalgamation with Shercock as O’Raghallaigh Gaels) kicked off their season last night with a super 0-11 to 1-4 victory away to Cavan Gaels. They will try and keep the good run going when they host Ramor Utd on the 12th @ 7pm. The 14s lost out 0-12 to 0-8 to Castletara last weekend but will hope to turn that defeat around when they host Cavan Gaels this Thurs (7th) @ 6.30pm

The 12s opened up with a win away to Shercock last week and followed that up in a victory at home to Drumgoon on Monday.  Next Monday evening (11th) they are away to Cootehill.  Have no updates on the Girls sides at the moment, but hopefully will have more info next week.

HURLING

Underage hurling started up again on Monday 4th April and will run each Monday from 6pm-7pm down in the Park for the next five weeks. These sessions are at absolute beginner levels for both players and coaches so if anyone is interested in either playing or coaching, please contact Willie Gaughan on 086 1649820 or be down the Park at the above time.

NFL PREDICTOR

Paul Gartlan won Week Six at the weekend with 17 (out of a possible 21). The NFL predictor concludes this week with Week Seven finishing off proceedings, so this is your last chance to make up for all those previous poor scores…..

The cost is just €3 per week with 1st prize winning/sharing  €100. All you have to do is attempt to predict who will win the 16 NFL matches with a home win (1pt), away win (2pts) or draw (3pts)

If you want to enter, you can collect an entry form from Kevin Sheils or Niall Smith , or e-mail info@kingscourtstars.ie for an entry form. Results will appear on weekly club notes & online newsletter.  A huge thank you to Kevin for running this competition and to everyone who was bought and sold tickets.
