7TH MARCH 2011

JUVENILE REGISTRATION DAY
The Club ran it’s juvenile registration day on Saturday morning in the Club Pavilion.  A resounding success once more with 100+ kids registered for the year so far.  Remember all kids who wish to play must be fully paid up & registered members of the club.  If your child could not make it on Saturday, you can still register, just contact James Brown (086 8640380) or the relevant team manager when training continues/starts in the coming weeks.  Again, there will be a FREE Kingscourt Stars T Shirt to all players who are fully paid up, but the remaining stocks are limited so don’t miss out…

MINORS
After their week off (I don’t think they were taken off for a week of warm weather training though), the lads will look to make it three in a row this weekend. However, with a game against high-flying St. Josephs they will have their work cut out.  Anyway, they will host St. Joe’s at 4pm on Saturday so please try and support.  The following week they are away to Bailieboro.

Also best of luck to Joe Dillon, Padraig Faulkner, James Farrelly and Cian McArdle who are all currently training with the County Minors ahead of the Ulster Minor League. Dillon, Faulkner, Farrelly & McArdle training with the county, I’m starting to feel quite old all of a sudden……

JUVENILE TRAINING
Underage training is really kicking off at the moment.  16s are training on Mondays @ 7.30pm. 14s on Tuesday @ 6.30pm and 12s on Wednesday @ 6.30pm.  The Girls 14s are also back in action on Sunday mornings.

Also, a new venture called Gaelic4Girls started on Sunday.  This is an Ulster Council backed promotion looking to increase the amount of girls between 9-14 playing Gaelic Football, and despite the miserable weather yesterday it was a huge success. This continues for the next five Sundays at 11.30am
For the remaining kids between 5-10, the indoor training will continue on Sunday mornings in the Centre from 11.30am to 1pm until they come outside. This will probably be the last Sunday in March much more details to follow.  As usual, new members in every age group are always welcome.

FREE CALENDARS
2011 club membership is due and must be paid before 31st March. In an effort to increase membership, and also to get rid of the remaining few 2011 calendars, the club are giving away a FREE club calendar to anyone who either registers their club membership online or else plays an auto-renewal ticket for the club lotto online.

Membership remains the same at €50 for players (€30 for Students/Unemployed) and €20 for Juvenile or Non-Players. Remember this membership fee not only protects all members, but along with the lotto, it also ensures the club can continue to field the ever increasing volume of teams that it does, so please sign up ASAP.If online membership or lotto ain’t your thing, you can of course just pay your various team managers or captains or pop into Pat Faulkner, M&F or any committee member.

NFL PREDICTOR
The Kingscourt Stars NFL Predictor continued this weekend (12/13 Mar). The cost is just €3 per week with 1st prize winning/sharing  €100. All you have to do is attempt to predict who will win the 16 NFL matches with a home win (1pt), away win (2pts) or draw (3pts) If you want to enter, you can collect an entry form from Kevin Sheils or Niall Smith , e-mail info@kingscourtstars.ie for an entry form or log onto www.kingscourtstars.ie . Results will appear on weekly club notes & online newsletter.

LOTTO
The winning numbers in this week’s lotto were 03, 12, 15 & 20 (Bonus 14). Looks like there was no jackpot winner & the three Match 3’s won €70 each.
Next week’s draw takes place in Malones on Sunday 12th March and the jackpot will be €3,200 (€8,200 including the bonus). To enter the lotto, just click here.
