Kingscourt Stars A.G.M. will take place at 3pm on Sunday week (5th Dec) in the Club Pavillion.  As always, new members are more than welcome whether it’s people who want to play ball, train juveniles, help out at meetings or just give a hand at any old thing…. We would also ask that as many Senior and Junior players also attend.

For all existing committee members, the nomination form for election of officers is being finalised and will issue early this week. Can you please ensure that same are returned to Mary Farrelly or Pat Faulkner by Friday 3rd December at the latest.  For those of you who can’t wait on the post or have not received your nomination form, you can download the nomination form here and return same to Mary Farrelly, Leiter, Kingscourt, Co. It’s getting to the time of year when you start wondering what Christmas present  to buy Aunty Mary, Uncle Pat or that friendly neighbour who feeds the cat when you are on holidays.  Well don’t fear, as Kingscourt Stars GAA have the answer!!

To mark the Seniors super Championship success, the club have produced a fantastic glossy A3 calendar for 2011 which features over 60 pictures feature pictures from all grades as well as a few committee members going about their normal match-day roles and also some great supporter pictures.

So scrap those calendars for X Factor, Hannah Montana or Man United, there’s only one calendar that should be under the tree this year and it will be available from Niall Reilly and local shops such as Pat Faulkners, M&F’s, Robbie O’Connell’s and McNally’s Pharmacy. The calendar can also be bought online via for just €10 or €15 for two.  It will go on sale by the end of the week.

The pictures to feature on the calendar are up here (and the final proof will also be up shortly) and a huge thank you to Colleen McCabe for giving us permission to use her action pictures of the Seniors and also to everyone else who allowed some of their pictures from the County Final day.

With Santa having left the Community Centre and headed back to the North Pole (if he didn’t get stuck out round Muff!), it’s time for the club’s own band of elves to return as the indoor GAA training for the 5-10 yr olds continues down in the Community Centre on Sunday from 11.30am to 1pm. All are welcome and the cost is just €1. If we can get 85 billion to attend, we’ll even pay of the country’s debt….

This course will run over four different sessions on 14th/15th/28th & 29th January in Kingscourt Community Centre. It is available to anyone who has completed the Foundation Level Course. For more details or to put your name down, either email or given James Brown a ring on 086 8640380
