WINTER FOOTBALL
First outing for the Indoor GAA training for the 5-10 yr olds took place at the weekend down in the Community Centre and it was a resounding success with well over 50 kids down there. For some photos from the session, just click here.
Fairplay to James Brown and all his coaches for organising it. It’s a very noisy set-up and not ideal place for everyone on a Sunday morning…. Just remember though, with Christmas Trade Fair next weekend, next training is not until Sun 5th Dec
A.G.M.
Kingscourt Stars A.G.M. will take place at 3pm on Sunday week (5th Dec) in the Club Pavillion. As always, new members are more than welcome whether it’s people who want to play ball, train juveniles, help out at meetings or just give a hand at any old thing…. We would also ask that as many Senior and Junior players also attend.
For all existing committee members, the nomination form for election of officers is being finalised and will issue early this week. Can you please ensure that same are returned to Mary Farrelly or Pat Faulkner by Friday 3rd December at the latest. For those of you who can’t wait on the post, you will be able to download the nomination form later this week and return same to Mary Farrelly, Leiter, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.
2011 CALENDAR
It’s getting to the time of year when you start wondering what Christmas present to buy Aunty Mary, Uncle Pat or that friendly neighbour who feeds the cat when you are on holidays. Well don’t fear, as Kingscourt Stars GAA have the answer!!
To mark the Seniors super Senior Championship success, the club are producing a fantastic glossy A3 calendar for 2011 which will feature over 60 pictures feature pictures from all grades as well as a few committee members going about their normal match-day roles and also some great supporter pictures.
So scrap those calendars for X Factor, Hannah Montana or Man United, there’s only one calendar that should be under the tree this year and it will be available from Pat Faulkner, Niall Reilly and a few shops around the town by the end of the month at just €10.
To see the pictures to feature on the calendar, just click here. Also, a huge thank you to Colleen McCabe for giving us permission to use her action pictures of the Seniors and also to everyone else who allowed some of their pictures from the County Final day.
