SENIORS
The Seniors missed out on a League & Championship Double when we were beaten 0-12 to 1-5 on Sunday in a cold and blustery Lavey. In a role reversal to the drawn match, it was the Gaels who lead throughout and we kept in touch with a Colm Smith goal & Barry Reilly point in the first half to trail 0-7 to 1-1.
While volunteerism is the cornerstone of what the GAA is built on, it still costs a few quid to run a GAA club every year and the cost involved is even higher when the teams are more successful as was the case in this Senior Championship winning year.
WINTER FOOTBALL
The Indoor Football training, which is due to run over the winter months has been delayed a week to Sunday 21st November. It will then start in Kingscourt Community Centre from 11.30am to 1pm. It will just continue with the basic training of Gaelic Football and is open to all boys/girls (whether existing club members or not) from aged 5-10. Cost of the training will be just €1 per morning and further details can be got of James Brown on 086 8640380.
