SENIORS

The Seniors missed out on a League & Championship Double when we were beaten 0-12 to 1-5 on Sunday in a cold and blustery Lavey.  In a role reversal to the drawn match, it was the Gaels who lead throughout and we kept in touch with a Colm Smith goal & Barry Reilly point in the first half to trail  0-7 to 1-1.

However, it was the third quarter that killed us, as despite our dominance of possession we only outscored the Gaels by a point.  In the final quarter the Gaels tagged on a few frees and despite Barry Reilly & Ryan McCormack landing some fine scores, a cracking late point from Martin Dunne sealed the victory for the Gaels.

A disappointing end to an otherwise memorable year but a huge thanks to the massive effort put in my players, management and of course our supporters over the year. 2010 will definitely not be forgotten by anyone connected with the club.

SPONSORS

While volunteerism is the cornerstone of what the GAA is built on, it still costs a few quid to run a GAA club every year and the cost involved is even higher when the teams are more successful as was the case in this Senior Championship winning year.

As such, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors listed below for their continued sponsorship both thru the years and in particular ahead of the recent County Final. For a full list of them, please click here.
