SENIORS

The Seniors finished their challenge matches last week with a narrow victory away to Simonstown Gaels.  With the preparation now over, the focus now turns to our long-awaited return to Division One which starts at home to Ballinagh on Easter Saturday @ 6pm.  After that they face a trip to Lacken on Sunday 18th @ 4pm.

JUNIORS

The Juniors complete their preparation for their debut season in Division Three when they host Moylough down the park in their final challenge match on Tuesday at 8pm, well eightish…  They will open their campaign on Easter Sunday @ 4pm when they host poor Shannon Gaels who have to make the long trek down to us.  Although we can borrow their sat nav’s after the match as our second match out on Sunday 18th @ 12 noon as away to Swanlinbar….

MINORS

The Minors complete the Easter Football Feast down the park when they entertain St. Finbarrs at 2pm on Easter Monday.  This is a vital game for the side, with victory required to maintain our promotion hopes. Conversely though, defeat will see us battling to avoid relegation ahead of our last match away to Laragh Utd on 18th April @ 2pm.

UNDERAGE

The 16’s start their league campaign on Friday 9th April @ 7.15pm at home to Ramor Utd. The 14’s start their league campaign on Tuesday 30th March away to Laragh Utd.  Still awaiting confirmation of the blitz schedule for the 12s but their preparation continues with a challenge against Navan O’Mahoneys down the Park on Thursday at 6.45pm.  Detailed fixtures on all the above sides are listed on www.kingscourtstars.ie.

The 8’s & 10’s are continuing to train as are the various underage girls sides.  If anyone is interested in either playing or helping out with any of the above sides, please either e-mail the club on info@kingscourtstars.ie or contact our juvenile chairman, James Brown on 086 8640380.

This week’s draw took place in Freemans. There was no jackpot winner but the two Match 3 winners (Rosin Tinnelly & Marie Tierney) each won €100 each.  The winning numbers were 06, 09, 15 & 25 (Bonus 27 ).  The next draw will take place in Gartlans on Monday 5th April and the jackpot will be €7,800 (€12,800 including bonus).

STARS TV

Plans to stream matches are still continuing  and hopefully we should have some definite news on this regard by the end of April (plenty of glitches to be ironed out yet).  However, our search for a commentator continues so if anyone knows of any person they think would be suitable or interested can they please contact any committee member or Niall on 086 8237382.  Go on, even Micheal O Muircheartaigh had to start somewhere….
