SENIORS & JUNIORS
To start off the season a Players Meeting will take place this weekend in the Pavillion with training starting next week ahead of our opening club league matches in Division One & Three at home to Ballinagh and Shannon Gaels respectively on 3rd/4th April. A full schedule of both sides league fixtures are now up on www.kingscourtstars.ie along with the Senior Championship draw with Redhills, Cuchullains & Blackwater Gaels.
On a related issue, there will be a club social night in Murtaghs where both sides will be presented with their league medals following last year’s table-topping promotion successes. This should be a great night with food & entertainment all provided on the night. There is no cover charge for the night but there will be a donations box at the door with all proceeds going to GOAL’s Haiti Appeal.
JUVENILE REGISTRATION DAY
The club holds juvenile registration day in the Club Pavillion on Saturday 20th February from 10am to 1pm. This is a new venture to try and promote the club and GAA in general. There will be coaches there from all teams from U-6 up to Minor and schoolboys and girls of all ages are welcome. We would strongly welcome any new members in particular whether you are new to the town, or perhaps just new to GAA.
Any adults also wishing to get involved with the club, whether as a player or volunteer basis are also very welcome. There will be refreshments available throughout the morning and there will be plenty of GAA merchandise to be handed out to the kids on the day.
For those existing members who have not yet joined, what are ye waiting for??? Registration can be made to any committee member or dropped into Pat Faulkner or M&F.

MINORS
Training sessions for the Minors continue at 7.30pm on Wednesdays. They opened their league campaign with an away to defeat to Killinkere by 2-12 to 1-12. A small report along with pictures from the match is on the website. Next up is a home match v Castlerahan on Saturday @ 2pm.

With things kicking of within the club, so the website is getting more action. As well as team, management and fixture details there is plenty more to see. Details of all last year’s teams are still available along with plenty of other history.

Finally Stars TV is proving very popular with the recent addition of the 1996 Seniors v 1976 Intermediate Championship-winning side addition still wowing the fans! We also have an online poll so that you can choose the next Stars TV addition from three old classics; namely the 1990 Senior Ulster Semi v St Galls, 1999 Junior B Final v Ramor and the 1997 Minor Final v Erne Gaels.

CAVAN GAA MEDIA AWARDS
The nominees have been revealed for the 11th Cavan GAA Media Awards, sponsored by The Anglo-Celt, ahead of the awards night which will take place in the Hotel Kilmore on Friday, March 5 at 8.30pm.
There are nine different categories and the club have nominees in two of them with Barry Reilly and Raymond Cunningham nominated for Minor Footballer and Club Handballer of the Year respectively. To vote for Barry and Ray, or any of the other categories, you can return the voting form that appears in the Celt or send an e-mail to linda@anglocelt.ie
LOTTO
This week’s draw took place in Murtagh. There was no jackpot or Match 3 winners. The winning numbers were 01, 25, 26 & 28 (Bonus 08). The next draw will take place in Malones on Sunday 21st February and the jackpot will be €6,600.
