REGISTRATION

It’s not all about kicking balls you know!  A bit of paperwork is required at the start of the year to keep the club going.  As such, we would ask all adult players & members to pay their registration as soon as possible to club registrar, Gabriel Patterson.  Registration can also be made to any committee member or dropped into Pat Faulkner or M&F.

To make it even easier for ye, this year you have got the added option of going online via www.kingscourtstars.ie Just follow the simple instructions and we will send out our new membership card to you and you will avail of all the perks of being a member of Kingscourt Stars GAA…..

Finally, as if that is not enough, ye will get a final change to join up when the club hold their registration day in the Club Pavillion on Saturday 20th February. This day will primarily be for juvenile and parent registrations but all forms of registration will be accepted.

MINORS

Training sessions for the Minors continue at 7.30pm on Wednesdays with the league due to start on Saturday 13th February.  Further details will be announced when available.

U-16’s

The 16’s continue training at 8pm on Friday.  Last week’s involvement in the Christy Shiels Memorial Cup was postponed due to the passing of Mick Higgins.  This will probably be re-arranged for this weekend in the 3G pitch in Breffni but there has been no confirmation to that as yet.

WEBSITE

For those website addicts out there (and the regular hits would appear to indicate there are plenty of ye out there!) the famine is ending.  Details of the various teams, fixtures and management is slowly (ok, very slowly) starting to filter through from the hierarchy.  Keep an eye on www.kingscourtstars.ie over the coming weeks for regular updates.

As mentioned above, the online membership option is now fully functional.  Another update is a long awaited addition to the Stars TV section where we now have footage from 1996 where that year’s team played the 1976 Intermediate Championship-winning side.  Well worth a look, with headband-wearing midfielders, drop-kicking half forwards and the not-so-nippy corner forward all featuring strongly….
