The Minors have the honour of trotting out on the hallowed turf of O’Raghallaigh Park for the first time in 2010.  The first training session of the year is on at 8pm on Wednesday 27th with the league due to start on Saturday 13th February.  Further details will be announced when available.

The 16’s take part this Saturday (30th) in the Christy Shields Memorial Cup in the 3G pitch in Breffni.  They are grouped with Templeport, Cuchullains & Bailieboro.  Their first match is scheduled for 1.30pm.  At 2.15pm they face Bailieboro with their final match at 2.45pm againsat Cuchullains. The top two from this section will qualify for the finals on the Saturday 6th February.

The U-14’s and their mentors had a super day out in Dublin on Sunday visiting the GAA Museum and onto the National Aquatic Centre.  They then had a presentation of their medals for last year’s Championship.  A great day was had by young and old kids alike, and there should be plenty of photographs up on early this week.

For those website addicts out there (and the regular hits would appear to indicate there are plenty of ye out there!) the famine is ending.  Details of the various teams, fixtures and management is slowly (ok, very slowly) starting to filter through from the hierarchy.  Keep an eye on over the coming weeks for regular updates.

Also, we hope to have the online membership option fully functional this week so all those exiled Stars can fully show their support for the club and we’ll send out your membership card to you.

Another update is a long awaited addition to the Stars TV section where we will have footage from 1996 where that year’s team played the 1976 Intermediate Championship-winning side.  Well worth a look, with headbands, Mikasa gloves and the not-so-nippy corner forward all featuring strongly.
