CLUB AGM

The 2010 Club AGM took place on Sunday in front of a large crowd in the club pavillion. A comprehensive list of reports were presented and discussed in detail all relating ot the year just gone.

The consenus was a a good year both on and off the field with the 2009 officers all re-elected unopposed, meaning Pat Faulkner returned as Chairman for the 2nd year, Mary Farrelly returned as Secretary for the 4th year and the spritely Frank Boylan returned as Treasure for the 123rd year!

All other officers were also re-elected but I’ll not bore you with the details but a slightly more detailed report is on the club website.

MINORS

Congrats to James Farrelly, Joe Dillon, Aidan Smith & Terry Reilly who have all made in on to the provisional county minor panel.
On the club scene, the league is due to start next month and more details will be posted once they are received.

U-16’s

The 16s are in action this Saturday in the Christy Shield Memorial Cup. Again, limited details are available but it will take place on the new 3G (that fancy astro turf to you & me!) pitch in Breffni. It would be well worth heading along, both to check out the new pitch and also to honour the memory of a great young footballer who tragically was taken from us last year.

U-14’s
Last year’s championship-winning side get a day out this Sunday. Heading off from town in the morning they will take in the GAA Musuem in Croke Park, then onto the National Aquatic Centre before arriving back for a meal and a medal presentation. A busy day in store but all well deserved after last years great success. Hopefully we will have photos on www.kingscourtstars.ie next week.

LOTTO

There was no winner of this week’s lotto and the two Match 3’s (Willie Flanagan & Seamus Morris) win €100 each.
The winning numbers were 06, 15, 16 & 17 (Bonus -25). Next week’s draw takes place in Blakes and the jackpot will be €5,800 (€10,800 including bonus).
