TRAINING
 
Training continues for Seniors, Juniors & Minors down in the community centre every Tuesday & Friday evening at 8pm and 9pm respectively.
 
HURLING
 
Indoor hurling training has recently started in the Community Centre on Saturday afternoons.  Their are two sessions on the day, 4p-5pm for under 9’s and under 12’s for 10-12 yr olds.  The sessions are for both boys and girls. All equipment is provided and new members are most welcome.  The Club would also appreciate the assistance of any parents/adults who would be interested in volunteering to coach or supervise.
 
AWARDS
The Communications Committee of the Cavan County Board have revealed this year’s nominations for the 10th annual Anglo-Celt/Northern Sound Media Awards. The club is represented in two categories with Colm Smith nominated in the Minor Player of the year and Michael Finnegan nominated in the Handballer of the Year.
 
Congratulations to both players on the nominations and best of luck to them.  For anyone interested in voting for them, or indeed in any of the other categories, you can do so by post to the Anglo-Celt newspaper or Northern Sound news station, or via e-mail, where you can mail your selections to media-awards@cavan.gaa.ie.
 
REGISTRATION
Annual Club membership is now due for 2009.  The costs remains €20 and can be paid to any committee member or dropped into Pat Faulkner’s or M&F’s shops.
 
MEETING
Following the cancellation of the January meeting, the first committee meeting of the year has been fixed for 9pm on Thursday 5th February.  All committee members are requested to attend
