In a damp and blustry O’Hagan Park,Kingscourt ground out a vital win agianst Shercock on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-5.  With a strong wind blowing diagonally across the pitch, conditions were very difficult.  Shercock had the best of things in the first time and led 1-4 to 1-3 at halftime.  However, Kingscourt controlled most of the second half and some great scores from Philly Smith and Ryan Mccormack saw the Stars ensure victory.  Next up is a home tie against Knockbride on 12th July.
Best of luck to Colm Smith, Barry Reilly and Thomas Rogers ahead of the Cavan Minor’s Ulster Semi-Final against Tyrone on the 30th in Clones.  We would ask everyone to make the effort to make the trip to support both the lads and the team as they seek to get Cavan into the Ulster Final.
Kingscourt play host to Salthill Knocknacarra in the upcoming Feile weekend on July 4th-5th.  This will involve the Galway champions arriving on Friday afternoon and playing Kingscourt at 3pm.  Then on Saturday, Shercock and Kerry champions, Tralee will enter the fray and then in the afternoon the Division 1 Semi Finals will be on along with the Skills competions.  A feast of football will be on display and it will be well worth taking in if you can.
