SENIORS

A bleak week for the Senior side saw heavy away defeats to both Cootehill and Killinkere.  With promotion hopes now realistically out the window, the focus turns to gaining a couple of more victories to ensure Div 2 status and preparation for our Championship encounter against Castlerahan.

This starts on Friday evening at 8pm at home to Ramor Utd.  After the two recent defeats, we will be looking for a reaction and a more positive performance.  While Ramor have been going well, recent defeats will see them eager to secure the victory.  Hopefully an open game should provide some encouragement for the Stars and a bright end to a rather depressing month

JUNIORS

The Juniors fought out a draw with Gowna at home on Sunday.  Despite leading 1-6 to 0-3 at halftime, a spirited Gowna fightback saw matters finish level at 1-10 each.  Next up in Div 4 is a trip to Castlerahan on Sat 7th June at 6pm,

Tonight’s (Wed) away trip to Drumalee has been cancelled to facilitate Cavan’s trip to Dublin in the Leinster Junior Championship and we wish Alan Clarke all the best in that match.

U-16’s

After the final round of matches in Div 2 league, Kingscourt ended up level with Laragh Utd and a play-off is know required to decide who qualifies for the final.  This though will not take place until after the Junior Cert.

U-12’s

The U-12’s face a trip to Lavey on Monday 16th June at 7.30pm in the Division 1 Shield final.  Best of luck to the team as they seek to claim the club’s first silverware of the season.

CONGRATULATIONS

The constant run of Senior weddings continues unabatted. We wish Mossy Malone our congratulations on his wedding this weekend to Aisling Tighe.
