KINGSCOURT STARS GAA CLUB NOTES

 

 

SENIORS:

A nailbiting victory over Crosserlough at the weekend means Kingscourt head into their final league match, knowing that a victory will see them remain in division 1 for 2008. Again, a commanding lead was let slip, but credit to the players they hung on in their for a narrow 1-9 to 0-11 victory.

 

The final match away to Lacken is scheduled for the first weekend in November and the importance of this game cannot be underestimated.  With that in mind, a renewed call for supporters to make the journey to support the team is made in what is the most important match the Senior side have played in many years.  Please check local listings, signs and website for confirmation of date and time of this match

 

JUNIORS:

Following the seniors, gritty victory over Crosserlough, the juniors had a shocker against the same oppposition, losing by 3-18 to 0-5.  They know find themselves in a similar state to the Seniors, with their survival hopes going down to a last day battle against, fellow strugglers,

 

U-21’s

The final championship of get under way this year will see the U-21’s enter the fray next month. They face a tricky tie away to Lurgan in the Quarter-Finals. Please check local listings, signs and website for confirmation of date and time of this match
