KINGSCOURT STARS GAA CLUB NOTES

SENIORS:

A hard-fought victory was obtained in O’Connell Park, Milltown at the weekend, when the Seniors came out on top in their relegation shootout against Drumlane.  A tight opening eventually saw Kingscourt take control and go in 0-6 to 0-2 clear at halftime.  Despite efforts from Drumlane to get back into the game, a batch of points from Sean Og Gargan and a Brendan Corcoran goal eventually saw the Stars victorious by 1-10 to 0-05.  For a full report on this match please check our match reports section on the website later this week.

Next up is a home match against Crosserlough, where a similar effort from players and supporters will be required to continue our survival hopes.  This game will be played later this month. Please check local publications, signs and club website for confirmation of time and date.

U-16’s

The final championship to get under way this year will see the U-16’s enter the fray at the Quarter Final stage.  On 6th October they are away to Lurgan at 12 noon.  Best of luck to all involved in the final hope of some championship honours in 2007.
