Crotta U14 Hurlers had a 2-11 to 0-05, victory over a gallant Lixnaw side in North Kerry Championship semi-final on Thursday evening 15th September in Causeway. It was a great all round team performance, well done. Crotta now meet Causeway in the final.

A Social Evening for the Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Active Retired Group will be held in the Community Hall, Abbeydorney on Wed. next, 21st September, commencing at 1.00p.m. A meal will be served. Transport for anyone requiring it can be arranged. Contact Noreen at 7135831.

On Saturday next 24th Sept our President Jerome McCarthy has his President’s day in Beaufort Golf Club. Tee time is reserved between 9:40 and 11:10 a.m.. All members are requested to be present in good time ensuring everyone gets to play on time. The presentation of prizes for this outing and the last outing at Killorglin will take place in Parker’s Bar, Kilflynn, at 10.30 that night. All members are encouraged to attend the presentation. John Leahy and J.P Twomey defeated Jason Nolan and Tim O‘Halloran, In the weekly darts doubles tournament final in Parkers front bar, Kilflynn on Saturday night 17th September. The next darts tournament takes place on Saturday 24th September at 10.30 p.m. in Parkers bar.

The Crotta Coiste na nOg hurling club bonus ball draw winners on Wednesday night 15th September, in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn was Sean O’Donaghue, Tullacrimmin, Abbeydorney and Kitty McCarthy, Knockbrack, Kilflynn was the winner in Parker’s Pub. A line can be purchased in Parker’s Pub and Herbert’s Bar, at a cost of €2 per week, winners receive €50.
