CROTTA COISTE NA NOG TABLE QUIZ:
The Crotta Coiste na nOg will hold a fun family table quiz on Friday evening October 29th in Parkers Bar and Herberts Bar Kilflynn. The event will take place during the mid term break so we hope to see a lot of families there. Please support.
HURLING/ SHINTY:
Best wishes to Crotta\Kerry Senior hurler, Shane Nolan, and his team mates on the  Ireland Shinty/Hurling u-21 squad  who play Scotland in U21 Hurling / Shinty International Final in Ratoath G.A.A Club in Meath on Saturday 30th October, at 1.00 p.m. other Kerry players on the Irish Squad are: Adrian Royle and David Fitzelle of  Kilmoyley and Darragh O’Connell, Abbeydorney, Great Honour Lads, Enjoy.
MINOR HURLING SHIELD FINAL:
The Crotta\Lixnaw Minor Hurlers will play Ballyheigue in the County Minor hurling Shield Final (re fixture) in Lerrig at 4.00 p.m. on Saturday  30th  October. (note time & date) Best of Luck to The Crotta\Lixnaw lads.  
HARTY CUP:
Nenagh CBS defeated Kerry Colleges 3-15 to 1-7 on Wednesday last in Newcastlewest. Two points separated the side at half time and Nenagh pulled away with 2-3 after the break Kerry’s goal coming from Padraig Boyle who was very unlucky not to get another. Tom B McElligott from Crotta played at corner back and played some good hurling.
CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS:
There is still BIG demand for tickets as punters strive to scoop the big Crotta Hurling Club Lotto Jackpot. The four numbers picked out of the drum by Independent Observer, Noreen Murphy, Dromakee, Kilflynn, for this week’s Lotto Jackpot of €13,300, on Monday night, 25th October in Parker‘s Pub, Kilflynn were: 13,15, 18 and 19. FAMILY FUN DAY:
Kingdom Hotrod Club are holding a two day event at the Kilflynn Hot-rod track in aid of Nano Nagle School, Listowel on Saturday 30th October at 3 p.m. and Sunday 31st October at 12 noon. A Fun Day to be had by all on Sunday family fun day. Kiddies pedal go -karts , bouncing castle, two rounds of racing and toddler tractor races. SILVER CIRCLE RESULTS:
Kilflynn National School Silver Circle 5th  Draw took place on Friday 22nd October. Winners: 1st, €70:Niall Heaton, Irrebeg, Lixnaw, 2nd, €35:Edward Breen, Laccamore, Kilflynn, 3rd  €20: Hannah Mc Kenna, Dromakee, Kilflynn. Seller’s Prize, €15: Prize Niall Heaton, Irrebeg, Lixnaw:. The Parents Council would like to thank the Parents and Pupils of Kilflynn National School for Supporting the Silver Circle Draw over the past five week, also the parents and teachers who helped with the Draws.

CELEBRITY BAINSTEOIR:
The Final of  R.T.E’s Celebrity Bainisteoir will take place on the 29th October 2010 in Parnell Park in Donnycarney, Dublin. It is a particularly exciting match for Kerry as Castleisland Desmonds are in the final this year and it would be great if all the the Kerry clubs spread the word to anyone in Dublin to come and  support the team from the Kingdom!
It is a FREE event and everyone is welcome to attend! Throw in is at 8pm and as it is a huge sporting event and with thousands of spectators expected to attend we ask that people start to arrive from 6:30pm.
For health and safety reasons we ask that people contact this email gaa@animo.ie and request any number of tickets so that we can monitor crowd numbers.
In addition Bewley’s Airport Hotel (which is where the team will be staying) are also offering a supporters rate for those interested in staying overnight or making a weekend of it. Best of Luck to  Castleisland Desmonds .
ABBEYDORNEY KILFLYNN COMMUNITY ALERT:
 Church gate collection will be held on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of November. The group meets at the centre on a regular basis and are in the process of applying for funding for personal alarms for elderly people in the community.  If you are in need of an alarm, or if you know of someone in need of one, please contact the Shannow Family Resource Centre on 066 71 98018 and we will pass your details onto the Community Alert Group
