Club Notes

November 8, 2018

A.G.M.

With the Ulster Club Finals switched to Breffni on Sunday, the AGM bit the dust again and won’t take place until January now.  As to what date exactly, I don’t quite know, but sure, after the last two weeks, would you believe me if I told you…….

2011 CALENDAR
The new 2011 club calendar is still available from Niall Reilly and local shops such as Pat Faulkner’s, M&F’s, Robbie O’Connell’s, Pat’s Shop, Gym an Rí and McNally’s Pharmacy for just €10 or €15 for two.

WINTER FOOTBALL

With the Community Centre closed for Christmas next Sunday, last weekend was unfortunately the last indoor session of the year. This will hopefully resume in January but updates will appear in club notes, website and by text.

DINNER DANCE

The Club Dinner Dance has been arranged for Friday 28th January and will take place in The Bailie Hotel. Tickets are €35 and will be available from the usual suspects…  While not out yet, you can start putting your names down if you wish.  The 2010 Senior Championship medals will be presented on the night and I am sure the organising committee will have plenty of entertainment lined up for the evening.

LOTTO

The winning numbers in this week’s lotto were 01, 04, 07 & 26 (Bonus 06). There was no jackpot winner but the five Match 3 winners (Martin Wakely, Niall O’Halloran, Lucy Farrelly, Bridie McCabe & Derek McCullagh) all win €80. The second of our free Xmas draws also took place with the winners being Andrew Reilly (Turkey), Robert Boylan (Whiskey), Declan Shekelton (Voucher), Gerry Curtis (Ham) and Jim Hanratty (Vodka)

Next week’s draws take place in The Wishing Well and the jackpot will be €6,000 (€11,000 including the bonus).

CONGRATS

While Swanlinbar unfortunately failed to bring home the Ulster title at the weekend, it did however mean some success for a Kingscourt person.  Ex Senior Player & Manager, Barry McArdle, was part of the Corduff Management Team that defeated the Cavan champions so well done to Barry.

Congrats also to Senior midfielder, Gavin Sheenan, on his marriage to Brenda McKenna over the weekend.
