JUNIORS

The semi-final of the Junior B Championship has played out last weekend in Virginia.  Up against a strong Killygarry side, it was always going to be a tough task.  Despite a lack of possession in the 1st half, the forwards managed to cause trouble when they got possession and at halftime it was all to play for at 0-7 each.

However, despite taking an early second half lead, Killygarry dominated proceedings and only a lack of composure up front kept things tight and by the end, we were quite flattered by the 0-13 to 0-11 defeat.

The final match of the season for the Juniors will be on Sunday 26th October when we host Lacken in our final Division Four fixture

SENIORS

After 3½ months, the league resumes this weekend when we face a tricky trip to Ballymachugh (and not Redhills as previously advised!) at 4pm on Saturday (18th).  With victory needed to ensure Division Two status, this match is most vital.  However, with the home side also hanging on to survival threads, the victory sought will be hard fought.

We would ask players and supporters to give one last big effort to obtain the victory and ensure that we remain in the Division. It may be hard to gain promotion to Division One from this Division Two, but it’s impossible to do it from Division Three!!

MINORS

After topping Division One of the league, the minors will host St. Joseph’s in the league semi-finals on Monday 26th October.  This team has played some superb football through the year and deserve the support as to seek to reach the final that their efforts deserve.  It’s not is if you’ll be heading to the beach to enjoy the Bank Holiday sun, so make your way down to the pitch and cheer them on.  Throw in TBC.
