JUNIORS
The semi-final of the Junior B Championship has been fixed for Sat 11th October between Drumlane/Killygarry. The final Division 4 fixture, at home to LAcken is also down for Sunday 26th, but that will presumably depend on the outcome of the championship semi-final
MINORS
The Minors faced a difficult trip away to St. Joseph’s in Arva at 12 noon. As expected this was a very tight affair and despite Kingscourt holding a 1-5 to 0-5 lead at halftime, few could argue that the home side were in the ascendancy.
St. Joseph’s started the 2nd half with 1-3 without reply, before Barry Reilly scored a superb solo goal to regain the lead for Kingscourt. However a last-minute St. Joseph’s goal secured a deserved victory by 2-11 to 2-7.
U-14’s
The U-14’s played Castlerahan last Tuesday night in the Div 1 Championship Final in Kingspan Breffin Park. Having gained a comfortable victory over Castlrerahan in the league earlier in the year hopes were high of victory. However, a lacklustre start saw Castlerahan hit the front early and in truth, a comeback never looked on.
A tour-de-force at full forward from Enda Flanagan saw Kingscourt unable to compete and his 2-8 tally helped the Ballyduff side to a fully-served 3-13 to 2-7 victory. It was a disappointing end to the season for the 14’s after their great semi-final victory but between league, championship and the Feile there was many highlights along the way.
SENIORS
The next match for the Seniors is their Div 2 outing at home to Redhills which is now due to be played on Sat 25th Oct.
