SENIORS

The Seniors opened their championship campaign last weekend with a fantastic victory over Castlerahan in Virginia.  After a torrid league campaign, little was expected from the Stars in this, but credit to the management and the players for devising and executing a gameplan that worked perfectly.

An explosive start saw us 1-3 to 0-0 after 10 minutes with a beautifully finished goal by Sean Og Gargan.  Further good play saw us lead 1-7 to 0-4 at halftime.  Castlerahan rallied in the second half and found the net with 15 minutes remaining to close the gap to 1-10 to 1-6.  However a combination of determined defending and some expert shooting saw us emerge victorious by 1-14 to 1-10.

With four weeks to prepare for the quarter-finals, (where we will face the winners of the qualifiers) the hopes will be that we can now build on this and the confidence gained from the victory will give the team a tremendous boost.

A full report on the match will appear on www.kingscourtstars.ie later in the week.

JUNIORS

The Juniors will definitely host Drumlane in a re-arranged Div 4 match this Wednesday evening (30th) at 8pm, seriously, well more than likely!

U-13’s

The U-13’s faced Ramor Utd last Monday night in the championship quarter final. .Despite a hard-working performance they narrowly missed out on the semi’s coming up just short against a strong Virginia side.
