Club Notes 22nd February 2009

Seniors:

  Our Seniors picked up their first 2 points of this years league campaign with a great 2^nd half display in Strokestown on  Sunday. Things didn`t look too promising as Elphin trailed by 6 points at one stage in the first half. Playing against the breeze we were 2^nd best in most  departments and were failing to win a lot of 50/50 balls.
  However, the 2^nd half was a very different story with Elphin gaining dominance in all areas allowing us to peg back a 5 point half-time deficit to win the game by 2 points.

Underage Registration Evening:
  The Minor Club held a very successful and well attended registration evening in the community centre on Sunday evening. Presentations were made to all teams up to Under16 by Senior County players Paddy O`Connor and Fintan Cregg. Well done to all involved and best of luck for the coming year.

Scòr:
 The 1st Scòr county semi-final is in Culleen Hall, Lecarrow on Friday night and the 2nd is in Ballinameen on Saturday.
The County Final is also in Ballinameen on the 7th of March. We would like to wish all Elphin contestants the very best of luck.
