Our Under 9 footballers were away to Clanna Gael on Saturday morning last. The A team won after a great battle in the mud on a score-line of 0-8 to 0-6. Trailing by 4 pts at halftime, some powerful work in the middle of the field by Daragh Lyons and Adam Banim, with great running by Dara Walsh enabled Patrick Ryan to earn and convert four late frees to secure a hard earned victory. The B Team had a comfortable win with Darragh Meehan scoring some fine points with both left and right feet. He was well supported by Sean O’Neill. The C Team went down to a strong opposition side. Oran Fitton and Daniel Mahon tried hard for the Sars. Thanks for the parents for travelling and waiting in the rain!
Also on Saturday morning, our other two U9 teams entertained St Olaf's at the 12th Lock. One team won comfortably in the end with Eoin Conheady, Cathal Kennedy & Adam Burns in fine form. Our other team lost to a strong Olaf's side going down by 2 points in the end. Best for Lucan were Kevin Keane and Ross Murray.
The Senior Hurlers earned a hard fought draw with Ballinteer, at the 12th Lock on Sunday morning. This was followed by an excellent win by the U15A Hurlers over Kilmacud on a scoreline of 7-21 to 3-5. Our U15C Team played out an exciting draw with Cuala with a score of 6-5
On the Camogie front our U14As and U15As had away wins over Erins Isle and Faughs Celtic respectively. The 13Bs suffered a narrow away defeat to Naomh Brid and our U11 Blue and Red Teams lost out at home to Naomh Jude.
