CLUB NOTES

Circuit training  continues on Friday evenings in the hall at 6.45, all senior players are invited to the training and any new players in the parish  wishing to play hurling or football are welcome.  
 
The senior hurlers will also commence outdoor training on Sunday 23rd January at 12.15 in preparation for the Ulster Hurling League due to commences Saturday 19th February.  A full turnout is expected and new players are welcome.  
  
On Saturday 22nd January the camogie club will hold a meeting at 12 noon to organise teams and appoint coaches/mentors for the season ahead.  It is important that all those interested in the development of camogie at the club attend this meeting, especially former players, parents of juvenile players and those willing to assist with coaching   If you want to get involved and cannot attend the meeting contact Deirdre McGrath or Dolores Cannifiord for more information.  
 
The club is keen to form a Youth Committee and have arranged a meeting for Sunday  30th January at 12.30pm,  young players aged between 12 and 21 years are invited. Formation of this committee will provide the young players with the opportunity to  inform the senior committee of what they want / expect in the club.  Contact Donal Moran or Mark McGrath for more information. 
 
From Sunday 6th February between 8.00 pm – 9.30pm there will be football for the ‘Auld Boys’ on the training pitch, these sessions are aimed at those no longer playing senior football and want a game of football in a not too serious ‘kickaround’. Cost is £2.00 per person.
 
As the new season approachs sponsorship is sought for playing equipment and jerseys for both juvenile and senior teams.  If you can provide sponsorship of any kind contact the club secretary.
