Results
Senior League:  Na Dunta 2.05             Maryland 0.06
We travelled to Maryland on Saturday and came away with the points after a well contested game. Two well taken goals from Luke Folan and Barry Conroy one in each half were the difference between the teams. Our backs worked very hard throughout and Kevin Maguire caught a couple of dangerous balls in around our goal. Our full forward line worked hard to gain possession when we got the ball forward and we always looked dangerous when we attacked at pace. Half forwards and midfield put in a good shift and given the underfoot conditions we were well pleased with the performance in general. There is lots of room for improvement in all aspects of our game but coming on the back of a few weeks tough training the lads did well. Our overall discipline was very good too. Maryland were without a few key players and had they had full complement this game would have being much closer. Missed frees close in by them left us with a better margin than we possibly deserved. We will meet again in the championship and we can expect a much different challenge then.  Our new young additions to the team played very well and there are others eagerly waiting their opportunity to get in and impress. This is healthy for the panel and these lads will only get better as they gain experience through training and game time. Our management team are committed to bringing through as many lads as possible and full attendance at training is necessary to make it at this level. It is a big step up from underage but to date some of the lads have shown they are ready for the challenge. Team Kevin Maguire, Declan Lynam, Niall Murray, Steven Cleary, Conor Carley, Ben Hogan, Niall Nolan, Barry Conroy, John Smyth, Sean Loughlin, Luke Folan, Kevin Smullen, Niall Folan, Noel Molloy, Niall Doherty. Subs used Shane Carroll, Brian Fitzpatrick, Trevor Mc Cormick, Adam Price. Rest of panel. Cian Carthy, Liam Farrell, David Mc Dermott, Conor Thompson, Ciaran Seery, Dean Daly.
