All roads lead to Derry where the Junior Set Dancers realise the ambition of anyone from the GAA family when they compete in the All-Ireland  final in Derry on Saturday. We wish Laura Wynne, Niamh Rowan, Ursula Carley, Leanne Duncan. Conor Murray, Stephen Colgan, Dillon Carroll, Jack Kennedy and Brenda and Alice Deihy the best of luck, they have represented the club with honour  all year and no doubt will give their best on Saturday.
They also took part in a recording of  Scor Encore for TG4 which will start airing soon, The Downs will feature on the episode on the  7th of April tune in see them perform.
Our Senior Scor competed  in the first round on Friday night in Coole, the figure dancers, solo singer, novelty act and set dancers progressed to the county final in The Downs on Saturday 30th.
Under 15 Championship Final
2012 U15 Final            The Downs v Athlone.
The Game was played in Streamstown 2pm on Sunday 17th Feb.
The Downs lost narrowly by two points to Athlone in a equally matched contest that swayed back and forth during a course of a tough hard fought game. Despite having an equal share of possession The Downs had difficulty converting this possession into scores and better composure in front of goal by the Athlone team eventually settled the game in favour of Athlone. The display by the team bodes well for the coming league and championship.
