Drama Night
The Club are presenting the play “For Club and County “ The Hilarious new play by Seamus O’Rourke on Saturday 30th March @ 8pm.
Tickets €10 from any committee member or in Wilfs in Castle St.
This is a new venture for the club so come along and enjoy nationally acclaimed drama in your community.
 
Underage Training
Underage training  continues on Saturday evenings 5 to 6, it changes to the usual Friday evenings 6.30 to 7.30 on April 5th

League Div 4              The Downs 1:10         Rosemount  1:9
Our senior team played their second league game of the season on Saturday.
Rosemount got off to a dream start and had 1:1 on the board before The Downs raised a flag. Both teams exchanged points and went into the break with Rosemount holding a goal advantage 1:4 to 0:4.  The second half proved equally close with both teams exchanging point throughout the half, with five minutes remaining The Downs goaled to equalised the scores and added the winning point to secure both points.

Your Club Your Plan – Strategic Plan 2013 to 2017
Thankyou to those who attended our public meeting last week which was excellently chaired by Paul Hourican of Longford and Leinster GAA.The plan will be a road map for the future of CLG Na Dunta and will address the key issues facing us over the next 5 years.
If you would like to have your say then please give us your thoughts through our online survey under Your Club Your Plan at our website – closing date this Friday 22nd March. 

Under 14 Boys
The Div 1A squad made it 2 wins from 2 last Saturday week with an away victory over St. Malachy’s / Ballinagore 3-13, 3-0. 
We expect both under 14 teams to have games this weekend – players will be notified by text message us usual – please reply as it we need to know who is available for each team.

We currently have over 300 subscribers but would like to extend it further to ensure all our supporters are kept up to date. Membership now due for 2013 Juvenile Player €25, Adult Player €40, Student Player €25, Ordinary Adult member €30, OAP €15, Family €50 You can also do your membership online through the website.
Free Draw of a years subscription to the club Lotto  for all members who pay their membership before 24th March.
 
Mouth Guards
A Reminder  it is now compulsory to wear a mouth guard for all underage training and matches
 
Bingo
Bingo continues every Friday at 8.30, come along and brings a friend for an enjoyable night’s entertainment.
 
Defibrillator
Reminder that a Defibrillator is located at the clubhouse on at the external wall of the entrance porch.

League Div 2                The Downs 1:8             Athlone 2: 9
On  Friday evening we opened our season with an away game in Athlone under lights. The home side dominated the scoring in the first half making good use of their scoring opportunities, while The Downs failed to convert possession into scores. The second half saw an improved performance in The Downs and could be unlucky not to have come away with a result from the game. Easter Raffle
Raffle cards are out now for our Easter Raffle, support the draw and be in with a chance of winning a Full Size Chocolate Football.
 
Clothes Collections
The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committee member or in The Shop. Please ask family, neighbours, friend and co-workers to fill a bag.
 
Keep Fit Class
A new keep fit class ‘The Power ½ hr’ is starting  and  will run on Mon, Wed and Sat . These fat burning workouts will have you toned up in weeks by using whole body exercises which are scientifically proven to burn more calories. Designed for your convenience, these workouts will only take 30mins, so why not drop the kids to school and start the day, the best possible way. Classes start @ 9:05 a.m in The Downs clubhouse.Water and mat  are desirable but not essential.
