Club notes for week commencing 1st April 2013

Underage training changes to the usual Friday evenings 6.30 to 7.30 on April 5th

Thanks to all who supported our hosting of the play “For Club and County “ in the clubhouse on Saturday last, it was an enjoyable night with plenty of laughter hopefully it won’t be our last venture into drama.

 

On Sunday our Figure and Set dancers contested the Leinster Final in Ballymore, the Figure dancers were first on stage and put in an excellent performance in a very competitive competition, the set dancers were the last act of the night and gave their usual  polished performance. Unfortunately the figure dancers lost out in a tight result, the Set dancers got the judges nod and take home another Leinster title . Well done to both groups who represented the club with pride and brought honour to club in having two dance groups in a Leinster final surely a unique event and demonstrates the club’s commitment to Scor. Thanks to our figure dancers (Aoife Rowan, Mary Lynam, Sharon Hynes, Sarah Moran, Jean Moran, Sarah McGuire, Sinead Carley, Lisa Loran) and set dancers( Aoife Rowan, Mary Lynam, Sinead Lynam, Grainne Kelly, George Coyle, Shane Murray, Kevin Flynn Pat Leavy) for their efforts and particularly to Geraldine Dagg, George Coyle, Brenda and Alice Deihy for unselfishly giving of their time in preparing the groups.

 

Our junior set dancers are on Scor Encore on Sunday evening on TG4

 

The under 8s travel to Croke Park on Friday to take part in Go Games. The bus leaves at 7.45 arriving in Croke Part for 9.45 with the games starting at 10. If any adults want to travel on the bus contact Sean Carroll.

Our 2^nd team came from behind to finish the game strongly scoring two goals in the last ten minutes  to take  two hard earned points.

 

The group stages of Feile are expected to take place on Sat 6th or Sat 13th April. We have been drawn with Millmore Gaels, Multyfarnham and hosts Caulry.

Membership now due for 2013 Juvenile Player €25, Adult Player €40, Student Player €25, Ordinary Adult member €30, OAP €15, Family €50 You can also do your membership online through the website.

Free Draw of a years subscription to the club Lotto  for all members who pay their membership before 24^th March.

 

A Reminder  it is now compulsory to wear a mouth guard for all underage training and matches

 

Bingo continues every Friday at 8.30, come along and brings a friend for an enjoyable night’s entertainment.

Reminder that a Defibrillator is located at the clubhouse on at the external wall of the entrance porch.

The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committee member or in The Shop. Please ask family, neighbours, friend and co-workers to fill a bag.
